Lowering the Tiger
on: 21 February, 2007, 05:59:10 PM
Picked up an ABS-Tiger from my dealer, this afternoon. This will be his demo, and I have the honour to do the first 1000 km/600 miles, after which it will be serviced and made available for test rides. Will swop it for my own, non-ABS, later this week. This only as an introduction to the following: when I was there, the dealer just received the first lowering sets for the Tiger (see picture); they result in the rider getting 40 mm (over 1.5 inch) closer to Mother Earth. They do not come cheap (129 euro), but that is still nearly 120 euro less than the lower seat. The latter reduces height by 20 mm, presumably by the use of a thinner padding. The plastic device on the left is to be fitted on the shock absorber, as a damper when it reaches the extreme end of its travel. It is a German product, approved for use by the official German vehicle inspection authority.

OK that is about $170US, quite a bit cheaper than $635US for a Hagon seat lowering shock.

This might be something I am interested in.

Do you have a website, company name, ordering info, or any other info that might put me into communication with the people selling this item?

Or are they intuitively obvious :125:

A phrase I have truely hated since freshman trigonometry!  But I am sure I will get over that.  After all its only been 35 years.

'Instructions': isn't that what you read only after everything else has failed?:007:

Yes, I saw a sheet with fitting instructions in the box.
